Matthias Fresacher is a PhD candidate in Pure Mathematics at Western Sydney University under Assoc. Prof. James East, researching diagram monoids and their generalizations. He holds a Master's and Bachelor's from the University of Adelaide, with an exchange at the National University of Singapore. His academic roles include Lecturer at Western Sydney, tutor at UTS, and Indigenous academic mentor at the University of Adelaide.
