معرفی
Matthias Danninger is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair Tier 2 in the Department of Physics at Simon Fraser University (SFU). His research focuses on subatomic particle physics, particularly at the high energy frontier through the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). He investigates phenomena beyond the Standard Model, including dark matter and long-lived particles, and contributes to tracking detector development and astroparticle physics.
Education:
- Diploma in Science (2007-2008), University of Canterbury
- Master's equivalent (Dipl. Physics, 2008), Technical University of Munich
- PhD in Physics (2013), Stockholm University
- Postdoctoral Fellow (2013-2019), University of British Columbia
Research interests span collider physics, detector optimization, and theoretical extensions to the Standard Model. His group includes PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers working on cutting-edge analyses of ATLAS data. Notably, he leads studies on multi-boson production, dark matter signatures, and novel detector calibration techniques. His work has contributed to ATLAS's advancements in understanding fundamental particles and forces.
Recognition: Canada Research Chair Tier 2 (2024–present).
Labs/Teams: Member of the High Energy Physics Group at SFU, collaborating with the ATLAS Collaboration.
