Matthias Brosch is a Professor at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He is actively involved in teaching across multiple programs including Civil Engineering (B.Eng.), Energy-efficient Planning and Construction - E2D (B.Eng.), and Architecture (BA).
Professor Brosch's academic focus centers on the intersection of civil engineering and architectural design with particular emphasis on sustainable and energy-efficient construction methods. His teaching portfolio includes Subject-Specific Projects, Master's Projects, Surveying work, Seminar B7, and Project M3, indicating a strong commitment to practical, hands-on education in building design and civil engineering.
The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering where Professor Brosch teaches offers a comprehensive range of programs from bachelor's to master's degrees, with specializations in architecture, civil engineering, and energy-efficient construction. The faculty maintains strong industry connections and provides students with access to specialized workshops including wood modeling facilities, laser cutters, and 3D printing resources.
Students working with Professor Brosch have opportunities to participate in international exchanges through ERASMUS+ programs and faculty-organized excursions to regions known for innovative construction practices. The faculty also supports practical application of knowledge through projects like 'Project_M3: CO2-Balance' and 'Optimization of Timber-Concrete Composite Construction' that address contemporary challenges in sustainable building.
