Matthias Bottling is a Researcher at the University of Hohenheim's Chair of Business Education, specializing in Teaching and Learning Processes. He holds an M.Sc. in Business Education (University of Konstanz) and a B.Sc. in Economics (University of Konstanz). Since July 2020, he has been a Research Associate at the Institute for Education, Work and Society. His work focuses on stress, resilience, and health promotion in educational contexts, particularly among prospective teachers. He is an associate member of the German Society for Educational Science (DGfE), contributing to empirical research and vocational education sections.
His research includes longitudinal studies on teacher identity formation, autonomy in professional training, and resilience competencies. He received the Ernst Meumann Young Researcher Prize 2024 for his work on teacher training in Frontiers in Psychology. Bottling teaches courses on educational theories, teacher training dynamics, and quantitative research methods. His recent publications explore participation in education, stress factors in teaching professions, and digital collaboration among educators.
