Dr. Matthew Silverstein is a Professor and Core Faculty member at Antioch University, Los Angeles, serving as founding director of the Spiritual and Depth Psychology Specialization (SDP) within the MA Psychology Program. He also co-founded the LGBT Specialization in Clinical Psychology at the same institution. His clinical background includes roles at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital (2003-2011) and collaboration with Dr. Lobsang Rapgay at UCLA. Licensed in California and New York, he specializes in integrative depth psychology, trauma-informed care, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy. His research focuses on gay-centered depth psychology, mindfulness applications, and intercultural understandings of the unconscious.
