Dr. Katherine Smith is an Adjunct Faculty member at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Reiss-Davis, and Antioch University Los Angeles, and Consulting/Supervising Faculty at Wright Institute Los Angeles. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, specializing in Spiritual and Depth Psychology. Her clinical approach integrates psychoanalytic, depth, and relational techniques, focusing on clients with suicidal ideation, chronic depression, neurodivergence, and existential themes like belonging and purpose.
Dr. Smith’s training spans LGBTQ+ affirmative care at the LA LGBT Center, neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai, and psychoanalytic therapy at Wright Institute. Her research explores clinician experiences in treating suicidal patients, as evidenced by her dissertation. She maintains a private practice serving 'loveable weirdos'—adult individuals, couples, and groups seeking connection and meaning.
