Matthew Rubach is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Research Professor of Global Health at Duke University, with a primary affiliation in the Division of Infectious Diseases & International Health and a joint appointment at the Duke Global Health Institute. Based full-time in Moshi, Tanzania since 2015, he co-directs the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC)-Duke Health Collaboration and serves as Medical Director of the KCMC laboratory. His research focuses on severe febrile illnesses, sepsis, malaria, and zoonotic disease epidemiology in low-resource settings, bridging clinical care and translational research.
