James Ngocho is a Lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology and Applied Statistics at the Institute of Public Health, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo), Tanzania. He also serves as a Clinical Research Scientist at the Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute (KCRI) and the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre - Duke University Collaboration, leading projects on tuberculosis (TB) and HIV.
Research Focus
Dr. Ngocho specializes in infectious disease epidemiology, with a focus on respiratory tract infections in resource-limited settings. His expertise includes developing innovative strategies to combat infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries. Currently, he leads research as a Fogarty Emerging Global Leader Fellow to design clinical decision support algorithms for managing pediatric respiratory tract infections in Tanzania.
