Matthew Mejia serves as an Adjunct Professor at Pacific Oaks College, with campus locations in Pasadena and Online. He is affiliated with the Department of General Education, where he contributes to the academic community through his teaching practice.
Mejia's research interests span multiple disciplines including Science, Politics, Architecture, and Philosophy, alongside educational domains such as Critical Thinking, Diversity, Higher Education, and Leadership. His interdisciplinary approach reflects his belief that 'together, we are unstoppable' in creating educational change.
Though not traditional academic journal articles, Mejia has published creative works including 'Writing for Life' through his own Nervous Ghost Press, and 'theFEEL' (2015) with Double Bridge Publishing. His publications reflect his commitment to connecting education with creative expression.
Mejia holds a B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles (2016) and an M.F.A. from Mills College, Oakland, CA (2018). His educational background informs his teaching philosophy centered on helping students realize 'that they each have a voice to be shared.'
