Dr. Matthew Fuss is a Professor at Geneva College, where he has taught since 2011. His academic expertise spans Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Business Ethics, with a distinctive focus on integrating Christian theology into management practices.
- Ph.D. in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Duquesne University (2016)
- M.B.A. from Geneva College (2004)
- B.S.B.A. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Spanish from Geneva College (1994)
Dr. Fuss’s research bridges faith-learning integration with practical HR challenges, including servant leadership, virtue ethics, and organizational culture rooted in love. His work emphasizes Biblical principles in areas like employee relations, compensation, and ethical management.
His recent publications highlight Christian perspectives on HR, faith-based leadership frameworks, and classical philosophy in business, particularly Aristotle’s teachings. He has also explored communication ethics and faith-based organizational culture at national conferences.
Dr. Fuss has received multiple distinctions, including Best Paper Award (2021) and recognition as Club Advisor of the Year (2015). He serves on editorial boards for the Journal of Business Leadership and Management and Journal of Biblical Integration in Business.
Over 13 years prior to academia, he served as an HR professional in industries such as trucking, financial services, and telecommunications. He co-advises Geneva’s Business/HR Club and Firearms Safety Club, and resides in Grove City, PA, with his family.
