Matthew C. Pierson

Dr. Matthew C. Pierson is an Associate Professor in the Cooperative Engineering Program at Missouri State University's College of Natural and Applied Sciences. He specializes in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnical and water resources engineering.

• Education: PhD, MS, and BS in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas
• Research Interests: Computer simulation of foundations and rivers, MSE structures, stormwater management, and fiber-reinforced concrete testing

His work spans geotechnical engineering, hydrology, and environmental remediation, with a strong emphasis on practical applications in civil infrastructure.
