Matthew Boonstra is an Associate Professor of Art - Sculpture at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), based in Charleston, Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Fine Arts from Michigan State University. His work focuses on sculpture, with exhibitions at prominent venues including the International Sculpture Center Grounds for Sculpture, Goldman-Kuenz Sculpture Park, and Mainsite Contemporary. He is a member of the International Sculpture Center and the College Art Association.
Boonstra teaches multiple sculpture courses at EIU, including foundational 3D design, advanced sculpture studio courses, and specialized studies in sculpture.
