Matthew Bersagel Braley is a Professor at Viterbo University, affiliated with the Ethics, Culture, and Society program and serving as Director of the Honors Program. He specializes in ethics, global health, and social justice, teaching undergraduate and graduate seminars on topics like global health, interreligious conflict, and economic inequality. His work bridges theology, public health, and community engagement, including a focus on racial reconciliation through initiatives like Southern Truth and Reconciliation.

Braley has received Viterbo’s Teacher of the Year award (2020) and grants from the Louisville Institute and Interfaith Youth Core. He is a Fellow with the international Leading Causes of Life Initiative and contributes to academic discourse through blogs and publications on topics like bioethics, service learning, and theological education.
