Matthew Baggetta is Associate Professor of Public & Environmental Affairs at Indiana University's Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He specializes in civil society, civic engagement, and social movements with particular expertise in membership-based organizations. His research examines how voluntary associations impact members and broader society through leadership development, organizational dynamics, and civic opportunities.
