Matthew Babcock

Matthew Babcock serves as Associate Professor in the Department of History & Political Science at the University of North Texas at Dallas, where he joined the faculty in August 2010 after prior teaching positions at Stephen F. Austin State University, Austin College, and Southern Methodist University.

His educational background includes:

• Ph.D. in History from Southern Methodist University
• Master's in History from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque
• Bachelor's in History and Spanish from Dartmouth College

Dr. Babcock specializes in U.S. history with concentrated expertise in North American borderlands, American Indian history, and the colonial Southwest.
