Matteo Dutto is an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Department of European Languages at Monash University. His research focuses on transcultural collaboration between cultural producers and Indigenous/migrant communities to create counter-narratives of belonging and identity. He has led projects like 'Youth in the city: one place many cultures' (2019-2020), exploring participatory digital mapping with multiethnic youth in Prato, Italy. He contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to social inclusion and urban sustainability through projects such as 'Decolonising cities: participatory approaches to transcultural placemaking' (2022). His work bridges cultural studies, decolonial theory, and urban sociology through innovative mixed-methods approaches.
