Matt Saitz serves as an Adjunct Professor of Exercise Science in the Biological Sciences Department at Webster University while concurrently holding the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach for Webster Athletics. He also acts as staff advisor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
His academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies with emphasis in Health and Wellness from Missouri State University (2007)
- Master's Degree in Education and Innovation from Webster University (2014)
Professor Saitz specializes in Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning, with research extending into Sports Performance and Athletic Training methodologies. His work focuses on designing athletic enhancement programs for youth, high school, and collegiate athletes through evidence-based conditioning protocols.
He maintains active professional engagement as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, having served on their Missouri State Advisory Board from 2012-2016.
Professor Saitz advises the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while overseeing athletic development programs. His industry experience includes designing strength protocols for all six Atlanta Braves Minor League affiliates during his tenure as Assistant Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator (2008-2011).
