Matt M Blaszka is Professor and Chairperson in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport at Indiana State University's College of Health and Human Services. He coordinates graduate programs and internships while conducting research at the intersection of sports branding, digital marketing, and consumer behavior.
Educational Background:

Research Interests focus on digital branding strategies in professional sports, athlete personal branding through social media, and the impact of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) policies on collegiate athletics. His work analyzes brand storytelling during rebranding processes, fan engagement patterns, and wearable technology's influence on fitness culture.
Recent publications examine the Seattle Kraken's digital brand launch, NIL policy implementation, and sports team rebranding motives. Articles span journals like the International Journal on Sport Communication, Communication & Sport, and Sport Management Review.
