Dr. Matt Jones is an Associate Professor of New Testament Studies at the School of Theology within the College of Undergraduate Studies at Colorado Christian University (CCU). He is deeply committed to mentoring traditional undergraduate students through both academic and spiritual formation, inspired by his own transformative experience at a Christian liberal arts institution.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Theological Studies, Regent University

Dr. Jones' research centers on the humanity of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, Christology, and redaction criticism. His work explores how Matthew portrays Jesus as fully human while maintaining divine identity, contributing to broader theological discussions on incarnation and discipleship. His interests also extend to the Sermon on the Mount, biblical spirituality, and theological education.
His publications and presentations reflect a strong engagement with biblical theology and practical Christian living. Key themes across his scholarly output include Christology, ethical discipleship, spiritual formation, and the integration of faith and learning.
