Dr. Matilde Ceron is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Salzburg’s Department of Political Science, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in Political Studies from the University of Milan (NASP), an MSc in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, and an MA in Public Policy Analysis from the College of Europe.
Her research bridges EU economic governance, fiscal policies, and gender equality. Current projects focus on substantive representation in National Recovery and Resilience Plans and gender mainstreaming in pandemic recovery policies. She also explores digital inclusion of vulnerable groups, pandemic surveillance impacts, and EU executive leadership’s legitimacy.
Previously, she held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pavia (political economy), Luiss University (EU leadership policy), and the European University Institute (Max Weber Fellow). She is joining the ActEU project to study trust-building in European crises through gender equality policies.
