Mathaios Panteli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. His research focuses on power system resilience, renewable energy integration, and critical infrastructure interdependencies.
His work addresses techno-economic reliability assessment of low-carbon energy systems, grid integration of renewables, and modeling of co-dependent critical infrastructures. Recent projects examine resilience enhancement strategies for power grids facing extreme weather events and climate change impacts.
Dr. Panteli leads multiple research initiatives funded by international bodies including the EU Horizon program. He has consulted for ENTSO-E, The World Bank, and other international organizations on energy infrastructure resilience. He serves as Chair of CIGRE working group C4.47 on Power System Resilience and is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy.
