Masumi Ueda Oshima

Dr. Masumi Ueda Oshima serves as Associate Professor in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She also holds the position of Assistant Medical Director for Inpatient Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Fred Hutch Cancer Center, where she specializes in treating patients with leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, and graft-versus-host disease.

Dr. Ueda Oshima earned her M.D. and M.A. in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University, completed Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Washington, and finished her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine (2013) and Hematology (2016) by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Her research program focuses on improving transplantation outcomes through reduced-intensity conditioning regimens, GVHD prevention strategies, and relapse management after allogeneic transplant. Dr. Ueda Oshima emphasizes personalized medicine that integrates molecular understanding with patients' individual circumstances, beliefs, and life experiences.
