Dr. Maryann Roebuck is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Ottawa and Director of Integration, Research, and Evaluation at the Ottawa Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). She is affiliated with the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services (CRECS). Her work focuses on community-based mental health interventions, program evaluation, and data visualization. She earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology (Community Psychology) from the University of Ottawa, under Dr. Tim Aubry's supervision, examining client-case manager alliances in strengths model case management for individuals with severe mental illness.
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology) from Trent University
- Master of Social Work from Carleton University
- PhD in Experimental Psychology (Community Psychology) from the University of Ottawa
Her research interests include homelessness prevention, mental health services, and qualitative methods. She has published extensively on Housing First models, tele-mental health, and the implementation of strengths-based practices in mental health agencies. Her work emphasizes data-driven approaches to improve community mental health outcomes and reduce systemic barriers.
Labs/Teams: CRECS and Ottawa CMHA collaborate on projects to enhance data visualization capacities in mental health sectors and evaluate community programs.
