Maryann Brown is an Associate Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Academic Success Program at Widener University Delaware Law School. She holds a B.A. in English from Loyola College (1986), a J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School (1990), and an LL.M. in Taxation from the same institution (1992). Her career includes roles as a staff attorney at the Pennsylvania Civil Clinic (1990–1992), Legal Services Manager at the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County (1992–1993), and Interim Director of Widener’s Legal Education Institute (2000–2001).
Teaching areas include Legal Methods, Professional Responsibility, Torts, Applied Learning Labs, and Academic Success. She has also taught in the Health Law Institute’s Masters of Jurisprudence program and the Australia Summer Program. Her expertise spans Legal Education, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law, with a focus on practical legal skills and academic success strategies.
