Maryam Zomorrodi

Maryam Zomorrodi is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Adelaide Business School, Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics, University of Adelaide. She holds a PhD from RMIT University, Melbourne, awarded in 2020, and has taught at universities in Australia and Canada, receiving excellent student feedback.

Her research centers on sustainable operations and supply chain management, with a focus on marginalized communities and poverty alleviation. Key areas include base-of-the-pyramid (BoP) business models, social enterprises, inclusive business, and humanitarian operations.

Maryam brings practical experience from working in NGOs in humanitarian aid operations prior to her academic career. She employs qualitative research methodologies and has published in top-tier international journals. She is eligible to supervise both Master’s and PhD students.

Her work bridges academic rigor with real-world social impact, particularly in developing sustainable and inclusive operational models for underserved populations.
