Dr. Maryam Alshehhi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Khalifa University, where she contributes to academic programs and research initiatives. She also holds a visiting scholar position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Her research focuses on climate change impacts on water and food security, hydro-climatology, environmental physics, and remote sensing technologies for environmental monitoring. She leads courses in environmental modeling and fluid mechanics.
Dr. Alshehhi is affiliated with the Emirates Nuclear Technology Center and the KU Center for Autonomous Robotic Systems, where she contributes to interdisciplinary research projects.
