Dr. Maryam Almohammad is the Academic Cohort Lead for the MSc in Language and Intercultural Communication at the University of Edinburgh’s Moray House School of Education and Sport. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Bristol and specializes in intercultural education, sociolinguistics, and critical pedagogy. Her research focuses on decolonizing knowledge, multilingualism, and the intersection of language, identity, and power. She has conducted collaborative art-based research funded by the AHRC, emphasizing creative methods to integrate migrant children into education systems.
