Claudia Borghetti is an Associate Professor in Educational Linguistics at the University of Bologna's Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. She serves as Director of the Second Cycle Degree in Italian Culture and Language for Foreigners. Her academic career includes roles as Senior Assistant Professor (2021–present) and Junior Assistant Professor (2017–2021). Borghetti holds a Ph.D. in Language Learning and Teaching from National University of Ireland, Galway (2009) and a Laurea cum laude in Arts from University of Bologna (2004).
Her research focuses on intercultural language education, plurilingualism, study abroad programs, and academic writing pedagogy. Key projects include the European IEREST initiative (2012–2015), RICH-Ed (2017–2021), and collaborations on global citizenship education (GCMC Toolkit) and staff training (TICKET project).
