Mary Tremonte

Mary Tremonte serves as Adjunct Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art. As an interdisciplinary artist and activist, she employs printmaking, public installations, and DJ culture to explore themes of community, queer identity, and social change.

Education includes:

• BHA from Carnegie Mellon University
• MFA from OCAD University

Her research integrates printmaking with social practice, emphasizing community interaction and public space interventions. Projects include the Queer Ecology Hanky Project and Dirt Is Beautiful, which blend environmental awareness with collective art-making.

Residencies: Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Franconia Sculpture Park, SVA’s Life on an Island, and Alma|Lewis.
