Mary Staehle, Ph.D., is a Full Professor and Department Head of Biomedical Engineering at Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, where she also chairs the Undergraduate Program. Her research focuses on neurodevelopmental toxicity, systems biology, and engineering education innovation.
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, complemented by post-doctoral work at Thomas Jefferson University. Her interdisciplinary work spans computational health models and educational equity initiatives.
Research grants include projects on AI-enhanced medical triaging (NJ Health Foundation), CAR-T cell therapy simulation, and NSF-funded biomedical materials research. She has authored over 35 publications with significant citations (h-index 9).
