Mary Robles

Mary Robles is a Researcher (Postdoctoral researcher) affiliated with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Montpellier. She works at the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences of Montpellier (ISEM) as part of the interdisciplinary team Ecosystem Dynamics, Disturbance Ecology, Paleoclimates.

Her research investigates environmental and climatic dynamics across geological time scales (Pliocene, Pleistocene, Holocene) in the Mediterranean Basin, with emphasis on:

• Paleoecological reconstructions using multi-proxy methodologies
• Human-climate interactions and historical environmental change
• Advanced techniques including sediment geochemistry (XRF), palynology (pollen and NPPs), and brGDGT molecular biomarkers
