Mary Purdy, MS, RDN, is an adjunct professor at Bastyr University and managing director of the Nutrient Density Alliance. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition from Bastyr University and transitioned from 13+ years in clinical practice (using food-as-medicine approaches) to focus on sustainability in food systems and its intersection with climate change. She has taught at Bastyr for eight years and lectured at institutions such as the U.K.’s Future Food Movement. Her work emphasizes regenerative agriculture, soil health, and the links between food systems and planetary health.
