Mary Prevo is a Senior Lecturer in Art History at the Department of Fine Arts, Hampden-Sydney College. Her academic and professional roles span teaching, curatorial work, and community engagement.
Education

Research Interests focus on art history, with specialization in medieval and ancient art, complemented by expertise in museum education and art appreciation programs. Her work bridges academic scholarship with community initiatives, such as art classes for public schools and water quality monitoring.
Professional Roles include Adjunct Associate Professor of Fine Arts and Western Culture (2009–present), Visiting Scholar at the University of Plymouth (2007), and prior roles as Curator of Education at Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. She has also served on advisory boards and contributed to local governance and cultural projects.
