Mary Brink

Dr. Mary Brink is an Associate Professor of Art History and Interdisciplinary Studies Coordinator for Fine Arts at Young Harris College. She joined the faculty in 2014 and teaches art history and art appreciation using active learning techniques including Gothic stained-glass window design, ancient Roman art patron simulations, and architectural scavenger hunts to foster cultural understanding.

Her research focuses on late nineteenth-century French painting, particularly Symbolism and the Salons of the Rose+Croix, employing statistical analysis to examine critical responses to art exhibitions. Specialized teaching interests include Women and Art, Twentieth Century Art, and Contemporary Art Issues.
