Mary Michener is an Associate Professor at Bethel University, holding roles in the College of Adult and Professional Studies and the College of Arts and Sciences. She serves as Assistant Dean of Early College and teaches in Psychology and General Education departments. Her academic journey includes a B.S. in Child/Adolescent Psychology (1992) and an Ed.D. in Work, Community, and Family (2002), both from the University of Minnesota.
Her research interests focus on conflict resolution, trauma and abuse, emotional healing, family dynamics, and spiritual development. Michener also combines her academic work with 20 years of experience in youth and family ministry, emphasizing forgiveness and emotional well-being.
