Mary Maguire

Mary Maguire is a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Law School, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Joint Unit Leader for Principles of Tort Law and Intellectual Property & Media Law. An NCTJ-qualified journalist, she authored 'Law and Youth Work'.

Her research examines media freedom, source protection, and legal empowerment of communities. She contributes to NATO's 'Whistling at the Fake' project countering disinformation and consulted on UK Human Rights Act reforms concerning press freedoms.
