Mary Kalyva

Mary Kalyva is a Lecturer in Endodontics at the School of Dentistry, European University Cyprus. She holds a PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2010), specializing in the role of TGFβ1 in dental pulp repair. Her research focuses on growth factors, dentin regeneration, and endodontic materials. She has published in high-impact journals like the International Endodontic Journal and Journal of Endodontics.

Her research interests include the application of growth factors in dental tissue repair and the evaluation of endodontic sealers. She has led projects on therapeutic systems for endodontic/periodontic treatments and bioactive carriers for tissue regeneration. She served as General Secretary of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists (2020-2022), contributing to scientific event organization and collaboration with international societies.

Key research outcomes include studies on tertiary dentin formation and the sealing efficacy of endodontic materials. Ongoing work integrates biomaterials and molecular biology approaches to advance endodontic therapy.
