Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Art at Oxford College, Emory University. She holds a BA from Gordon College (2008) and an MFA from the State University of New York at Buffalo (2013). Contact: MJOH308@emory.edu | 770-789-4691.

Previously, she taught at Alfred University, University of North Texas, Central Academy of Fine Art (China), and served as an invited critic at Tsinghua University.

Research Interests: Her interdisciplinary practice investigates how perception narrates human experiences through installations and paper-based works, bridging art and environmental science. Her exhibitions explore themes of ecology, cultural narratives, and sensory interpretation.
