Mary-Jo Maur is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Queen's University. She specializes in family law, children's law, elder law, and family social studies. Her research focuses on improving the family law procedural system to better serve all parties in disputes. Maur holds an LL.M. in Family Law (1992) and LL.B. (1985) from Queen's University, and an H.B.A. in Zoology and English Literature from the University of Toronto.
Research & Teaching: Maur teaches family law and dispute resolution, emphasizing innovative methods. She co-designed Queen’s Law’s online Certificate in Law program and has been honored twice with the Law Students’ Society Teaching Excellence Award. She previously practiced family law in Kingston for over 25 years.

- Affiliations: National Family Law Program, National Judicial Institute.
Publications: Maur’s work includes seminal articles on family law costs, Hague Convention compliance, and child support guidelines. She co-authored the textbook Hovius on Family Law: Cases, Notes and Materials (8th ed., 2013).
