Mary E. Linton

Mary E. Linton is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of Michigan-Flint's School of Nursing, where she has been a faculty member since 2014. She contributes significantly to the RN-to-BSN program and holds certifications as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Educator.

Her educational background includes:

• D.N.P. in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University (2005)
• M.S.N. in Nursing from Wayne State University (1994)
• BNSC in Nursing from University of Michigan-Flint (1992)
• Associate Degree in Nursing from Mott Community College

Dr. Linton's research and professional interests focus on student success in nursing education, sustainability in health care, and international service learning. Her clinical expertise in neonatal nursing, OB/reproductive health, and pediatric nursing informs her teaching and community service initiatives.

Dr. Linton is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of nurses, guiding DNP capstone projects and serving as chair of the RN-to-BSN Academic Standards Committee. Her leadership extends to community service through organizations such as the Zonta Club of Alpena and Hope Shores Alliance, where she advocates for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
