Mary Dolansky is a Sarah C. Hirsh Professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and an Associate Professor in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine. She holds leadership roles including Director of the Sarah Cole Hirsh Institute and Past Director of the QSEN Institute. Her research focuses on heart failure self-management, geriatric care, quality improvement, and implementation science. Dr. Dolansky earned a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the John A. Hartford Foundation, and holds advanced training in multidisciplinary clinical research.
Research interests include cognitive impairment in heart failure patients, patient safety, and interprofessional education. She leads major grants totaling over $60 million, including NIH-funded studies on age-friendly health systems and interventions for endometrial cancer survivors. Awards include the 2023 Isabel Hampton Robb Award and Amy J. Berman Geriatric Nurse Leadership Award. Dr. Dolansky mentors doctoral students and oversees training programs in nursing education and healthcare quality.
