Mary Dement is an Assistant Professor at Augusta University's Medical College of Georgia, where she has served in the Department of Emergency Medicine since 2009. Her academic career focuses on clinical education and undergraduate medical training, with a strong emphasis on problem-based learning and physical diagnosis for first and second-year medical students. She has received multiple teaching awards for her contributions to medical education.
