J.R. Barrett serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, where he maintains active clinical, educational, and research responsibilities. An Augusta native, he earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 2013 and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Pennsylvania after obtaining a BA in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University in 2009.
