Dr. Mary Asirifi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing Foundations and Science at MacEwan University. She holds a PhD in Nursing, a Master of Nursing (MN), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Alberta and Ghana, respectively. As a registered nurse (RN) with clinical experience in Ghana and Alberta, she has expertise in medical-surgical nursing and clinical education.
Research Interests:
- Innovation and change in nursing education
- Knowledge translation across sociocultural contexts
- Community-based participatory action research
- Culturally appropriate health interventions
- Combating stigma in population health
Recent Publications: Focus on cross-cultural nursing education reforms, pandemic response frameworks, and stigma mitigation strategies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her work emphasizes stakeholder collaboration and cultural sensitivity.
