She co-authored widely-used textbooks like Environmental Science: A Global Concern and Principles of Environmental Science, which emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to environmental problem-solving. Her work extends to campus sustainability efforts through the Environmental Research Institute and Climate Action and Sustainability Committee (CASC).
Cunningham’s public engagement includes partnerships with the Hudson Valley Mappers and Office of Community-Engaged Learning, focusing on local climate action projects. Her research and teaching aim to equip students with practical skills for addressing environmental challenges through policy, technology, and community collaboration.
