Marvin Wickware is an Assistant Professor at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, focusing on intersections of identity, emotions, politics, and theology. His research includes a forthcoming book Healing the Broken Heart of Christian Antiracist Work (under contract with Fortress Press) and contributions to embodied teaching frameworks, particularly during the pandemic shift to online learning.
- Research Interests: Theology, Ethics, Church and Society, Antiracism, Identity, Emotional Labor in Teaching.
- Teaching Focus: Explores theological pedagogy in contexts of racial justice, virtual classrooms, and trauma-informed practices.
He has written on adapting to remote teaching post-March 2020 and co-leads initiatives related to anti-racism in theological education.
