Angel D. Santiago-Vendrell is an Associate Professor of Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary's Orlando Campus, where he has taught a required course on evangelism for United Methodist Church ordination since 2015. His research focuses on Justo L. Gonzalez at the Gonzalez Center in Orlando, blending contextual theology with Latin American Pentecostalism. A husband and father of two, he enjoys surfing at Cocoa Beach, Thai cuisine, and family time at Monkey Joe’s.
His publications include Contextual Theology and Revolutionary Transformation in Latin America (2010) and Tales of Mutual Influence (2017), which explore intersections of theology, biography, and social change. His pedagogical work with the Wabash Center emphasizes anti-racism and embodied teaching, particularly in evangelical seminary contexts addressing racial diversity.
