Dr. Marvin Berkowitz is the Sanford N. McDonnell Endowed Professor of Character Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with joint appointments in Education and Psychology. He co-directs the Center for Character and Citizenship and is recognized globally for research on moral development in educational settings.
His transformative work includes:
- Developing the PRIMED framework for institutional character education
- Pioneering research on school climate and ethical development
- Creating assessment tools for moral education programs
