Marvin Akers is an Associate Professor and Program Director for Criminal Justice and Ethics at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. With 34 years of global law enforcement experience—including roles as patrolperson, shift commander, chief of police, and Federal/State Agent—his expertise spans criminal justice systems, personnel/resource management, and courtroom testimony. Currently pursuing a Master of Counseling degree, he integrates practical law enforcement insights with academic leadership.
