Professor Martyn Shaw is a Professor of Performance Practice at Leeds Conservatoire since 2005, specializing in 19th-century English performance practices and flute performance. He holds multiple roles including General Manager of Manchester Baroque and previously served as Head of Woodwind at Chetham’s School of Music (2018-2020). His expertise spans historical instruments, pedagogy, and interdisciplinary collaboration between historically informed performance and electroacoustic composition.
